Four receive injuries in two separate accidents

A 64-year-old man of Veisari Lami is admitted at the CWM hospital after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle yesterday.

Police says the 55-year-old driver of Suvavou Village was driving towards Naboro from Suva when he tried to evade a bus which swerved into his lane and in the process he allegedly hit the 64-year-old man from Veisari.

Police officers conveyed the victim to the CWM Hospital.

In another incident three people received serious injuries after they were involved in an accident in Nanukuloa, Saivou, Ra.

According to Police, a 20-year-old farmer of Waimicia, Ra drove out to Narau from Rakiraki with two other male passengers when he lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road and into the drain.

The driver received head injuries, one of the passengers received spine fracture while the other received minor injuries.

All were rushed to the Lautoka Hospital.

The Police Force is reminding drivers to adhere to road rules and drive safely.
