Two men were arrested at the Nadi carrier stand yesterday after they were allegedly found with 116 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Both suspects who are 24-years-old are from Sikituru and Navakai in Nadi.

The drugs have been sent for analysis while the suspects remain in custody.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old farmer of Koro Island was also detained yesterday after he was allegedly found with a plastic bag containing dried leaves suspected to be marijuana.

Over the weekend, a 29-year-old man who was arrested for an alleged case of theft was also found with two sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana following a search conducted by officers from the Valelevu police station.

The suspects remain in custody while the alleged substances have been sent for analysis.
