21-year-old Matakibau is a security officer with HomeLink Security Company and 47 year-old Fenn is a security officer with Professional Security Services.

The three are alleged to have colluded with 29 year-old Vonovono who works as a Cadet Engineer with Solander Fishing Company to steal the fish worth about $7, 800 from the Company’s container freezer on the 1st of this month.

No plea was taken when they appeared before Magistrate Rupasinghe.

Police prosecution objected to any bail application on the basis of the seriousness of the offense, its prevalence, that investigation is still ongoing, the accused have fully admitted to the offense during caution interview and that it is in the interest of the public.

A ruling on the bail application will be made on the 20th of this month.
All four men have been further remanded.
