Four men charged with separate counts of rape have been found guilty by the Suva High court Judge Justice Salesi Temo today.

Justice Temo disagreed with the unanimous opinion of three assessors who found the men not guilty last Friday.

The four men raped two women in a secluded spot on in Waimaro Tailevu October 9th in 2016.

Wame Balemakogai and Napolioni Leiloma as known as Tuvuli has been convicted of three counts of rape.

Serving prisoner Luke Sorovakatini has been convicted of one count of rape while Sanjay Lal has been convicted of one count of rape and one count of assault with intent to commit rape.

The four will be sentenced on Friday.
