The maintenance of the four lane Suva-Nausori project is progressing well says the Fiji Roads Authority.

Chief executive, Jonathan Moore says the work along the Nakasi-Nausori stretch is expected to be completed by June.

He adds sealing work were expected to be carried out on the new section of the road, however, that has been delayed due to the recent wet conditions.

Moore says once the sealing is completed, it would allow for a better traffic flow.

“The rain that we had recently has delayed the sealing works so over the next week we are hoping to complete the sealing. Once this is one we intend to move the traffic from the existing Kings Road to the new section.”

Moore adds once traffic is moved onto the new section, maintenance will commence on the existing road.
