A mother and her three children are dead following a fire in River road, Narere in Nasinu earlier today.
The woman in her thirties and her three children aged four and three years and an eighteen-month-old baby were found dead inside the house.
FBC News spoke to neighbors and eye-witnesses who claim the father of the children is currently admitted at the CWM hospital after he allegedly tried to commit suicide on Sunday evening.
The mother of the kids is alleged to have returned home after visiting the husband in hospital earlier today, and allegedly locked the children in their lean-two house before setting it on fire.
The house was fully engulfed when the police and fire trucks arrived at the scene.
FBC News was still at the scene when the police forensics team searched for the children’s and the mother’s body before they were taken away for post mortem examinations.
