The week-long Smaller Island States Officials meeting is currently underway at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in Suva.
The forum will be a platform to discuss strategies to tackle challenges faced on our islands.
Issues will be centered on climate change, multilateralism, and future viability of the region.

Today’s forum will focus on overseeing issues under the themes of Securing our Future in the Pacific including fisheries, climate change, security, and maritime boundaries.
Secretary-General of the Pacific Islands Forum Dame Meg Taylor urged the participants to identify key issues to be elevated for further discussion with the Forum Officials Committee and the Forum Leaders.
The forum will conclude on Friday.
