Two former Water Authority of Fiji technicians who are facing corruption related charges appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

Sairusi Nageti is charged with two counts of obtaining a financial advantage while Varayame Derlo is charged with one count of obtaining a financial advantage.

It is alleged that the two between July and October this year in Nadi, sold water tanks which were part of the Free Government initiative under the Rain Water Harvest Tank Project.

As a result of their conduct the two obtained an advantage of more than $6,000 from various individuals.

The matter has been adjourned to the 24th of this month.
