A renowned former school Principal Jai Narayan, has died at the age of 93.

He was well known in the education sector and the Jai Narayan College in Suva, which was formerly known as the Indian College, was named after him.

Narayan served as a principal of the school for 32 years.

He was instrumental in making the school one of the high achievers in education excellence in the country.

Narayan was married to the late Irene Jai Narayan who was a National Federation Party and Alliance Party politician and a member of parliament.
