A former employee of the Post Fiji Limited Mail Center, at Laucala Beach appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Semi Namara-ulu is charged with two counts of embezzlement by officer of Post Office.

Between 1st January last year and the 24th of this month, he’s alleged to have embezzled sealed postal packages.

The packages belonged to Ronal Lal, Shalvin Kumar and Frangel Chipongian in the course of transmission by post.

He is remanded and will reappear on the 1st of next month and to produce a suitable surety.
