Former People’s Community Network Director Semiti Qalowasa has pleaded not guilty to charges laid against him.
Qalowasa is charged with failure to furnish information to the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission in relation to the controversial Lagilagi Housing project.
The project was a government housing initiative for low-income earners.
It is alleged that in January this year Qalowasa failed to furnish documents such as building plans, contracts, receipts, details of payments collected, audited financial reports and bank statements.
Qalowasa had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges but an application was made by the defense to vacate his guilty plea which was granted.
The case has been adjourned to September 12th for a pre-trial conference.
