A former Secretary of the Independent Legal Services Commission appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with falsification of documents and obtaining financial advantage offences amounting to $3450.
Afrana Nisha is alleged to have committed the offense in 2012 whilst employed by the Commission.
Nisha has been granted bail with two suitable sureties and ordered to surrender her passport and report to Valelevu Police Station every Saturday.
Magistrates Makereta Mua told the sureties to sign a one thousand dollar bond each and ensure that Nisha comes to court every time her case is called.
Nisha was charged by Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).
FICAC counsel Lillian Mausio has given the first phase disclosures today.
The case will be recalled on September 16, 2015.
