A former Auditor and a former Tax officer for the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today for bribery related offences.

Pritam Singh and Avinesh Lal between the 2nd to the 20th of March, this year allegedly solicited $15,000 from a businessman, as an inducement.

In court today, a bail variation by Singh was dismissed as he wanted to travel abroad.

Magistrate Somaratne ruled that the reason for his trip was not urgent and not imperative.

The matter will be recalled on the 29th of October.
