FNU Labasa Campus Head Pardeep Lal says the brochure hopes to encourage the people of Labasa to use less plastic.

“We know there is a huge problem caused by plastic to the marine life, to the land. Also, the government of the day also wants to see a reduction in uses of plastic. So this is our way to assist in this endeavour.”

Lal says in the not too distant future, they will hope to translate the brochure into Hindi and i-Taukei.

The brochure will be handed out around the Labasa market area tomorrow.
