FNPF CEO to take the stand today

Fiji National Provident Fund Chief Executive officer Aisake Taito is expected to take the stand this morning in the Olota Rokovunisei three week trial.

Taito is among the eleven state witnesses in the case.

Former Board member Himmat Lodhiya is the first of the state witness to give evidence in the Suva High Court before Judge Priyantha Fernando.

Defence Lawyer Samanunu Vaniqi later cross examined Lodhiya.

Vaniqi will further cross examine Lodhiya before Taito takes the stand.

Rokovunisei is charged with extortion by public officers and abuse of office.
