More jobs will be available for Fijians between Lami and Navua as FMF Foods Limited is expanding its Veisari factory.

Managing Director Ram Bajekal says this will create twenty new jobs and also cater for its growing export demand.

Bajekal says FMF Foods Limited has stamped its mark overseas but says at times they’re unable to cater for the demand.

“Local demand we are meeting fully but the export demand is where we want to grow more. Export is where we see a lot of opportunities for our brand.”

Ram Bajekal adds they’re exporting their products to 21 different countries.

“The bulk of our exports is to the Pacific Island countries that is Australia and New Zealand. We also export to the US and Canada and including Hawaii which is part of the US.”

FMF has also modernized its flour mill with new equipment.

Bajekal says they’re also about to complete the construction of the new central stores and warehouse which was announced in June last year.

He adds the operations in this new facility is scheduled to commence in September.
