Flood warning still in place for parts of Fiji

A flood warning remains in force for a number of areas.

This is applicable to low lying areas and small streams for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Lau including Rakiraki and Rewa catchment, low lying areas and small streams adjacent to and downstream of Rakiraki town, low lying areas and the downstream of Navolau station, low lying areas and areas adjacent to Rewa bridge station and downstream of Nausori town.

This is coupled with a strong wind warning in force for all land areas of Fiji as well as a heavy rain warning in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and the Lau Group.

Meanwhile, a flood alert is place for low lying areas and areas adjacent to Wailotua and Nayavu station and areas downstream of Wainibuka River.
