Flood warning downgraded to flood alert

Meanwhile a flood warning that was previously inforce has been downgraded to a flood alert.

This is applicable to low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to the downstream of Vatukacevaceva Station to Rakiraki Town and Toge Station to Ba Town.

However, flood warning still remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas downstream of Navolau Station to Nausori Town.

Flood alert still remains in force for low lying areas and small streams adjacent to the downstream of Keiyasi Station, Nairukuruku Station and Nasivi station.

A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the Fiji group.

It is expected to affect the group until later Tuesday.
