The toddler was swimming in flood waters when she died.

Police and the Ministry of Information are again reminding the public to keep away from flooded waters and to always supervise their children.

Winds have picked up in the west.

Veteran Journalist and PINA official Matai Akoula who is driving back from Nadi told FBC News the highway is strewn with debris, most of it trees and branches that have been broken by the strong winds.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution, or better still, wait until tomorrow when there is light to travel to or from the west.
