Flood alert now in place for Ba

A flood alert has been issued for low lying areas and small streams adjacent to and downstream of the Ba Catchment.

This is the latest information received from the Nadi Weather Office. In the last hour.

A flood warning remains in force for the following areas;

Low lying areas and small streams for the Northern, Eastern Viti Levu and Western half of Vanua Levu.

Low lying areas and small streams adjacent to and downstream of Rakiraki Town; low lying areas and the downstream of Navolau station.

Low lying areas and small streams adjacent to Rakiraki town and downstream of Rakiraki Station.

In Rewa, the flood warning is for low lying areas and adjacent to Rewa bridge station and downstream of Nausori Town.

A flood warning is also in force for low lying areas and those adjacent to Wailotua and Nayavu Station and areas downstream of Wainibuka River

A flood ALERT remains in force for low lying areas and the downstream of Waimanu Station; low lying areas and areas adjacent to Nabukaluka Station and downstream of Nabukaluka river.

The Wailotua Station was at 8.46M at 12pm which is 4.46m above the warning level and increasing.

The Rakiraki Station was at 4.4m at 12pm which is 2.4m above warning level and increasing.

The Nayavu Station was at 10.44m, 2.44m above warning level and increasing.

The Rewa bridge was at 5.35m – 0.95m above warning level, but slowly decreasing.

The water level at the Navolau Station was 9.99m at 12pm- 1.99m above warning level and decreasing.

The water level at the Waimanu Station and the Nabukaluka Station are also dropping.
