Flash flood warning remains

A flash flood warning remains in place for low lying areas.

A tropical depression is located to the far south-southwest of Nadi.

“Ex tropical depression TD 17F was located to the far south, South West of Nadi at 3am today. Associated active trough of low pressure continues to affect the group forecast for the whole of today. Going into Monday, we expect further periods of rain heavy at times and squally thunderstorms. A strong wind warning remains in force for land areas of the Fiji Group. We expect strong North to North-West winds with average speeds of 40-55km/hr and momentary goes to 85km/hr.”
