Five suspects in police custody for alleged murder

Five people are currently being questioned in relation to the alleged murder of four people last month.

Police confirmed two people were taken in custody for allegedly killing 22-year-old Rayna Prasad of Old Namara settlement in Khalsa road, Nasinu.

Prasad was reported missing by her father on the 22nd of December and her body was discovered in Muanikau Suva two days later.

The partly decomposed body was discovered by a farmer from Korova settlement.

Two people have also been taken into police custody for the alleged murder of 36-year-old Filipe Loloma of Kadavu on Monday.

It has been reported the two were drinking with the deceased prior to his death.

Meanwhile, a suspect is in custody for the alleged murder of a security officer in Flagstaff Suva last Monday.
