Five arrested in relation to Nadi robbery

Four men and a woman are in police custody in relation to an aggravated robbery at the home of a fourty-year-old businessman in Solovi, Nadi.

A group of men armed with cane knives allegedly forcefully entered the home of the victim last Sunday morning and threatened his family before stealing cash, jewellery and electronic items.

The suspects then fled in the victim’s car which was later found abandoned.

The Western Division taskforce has also managed to recover items believed to have been stolen from the businessman.

The Taskforce is now focusing its investigation on the receivers as well.

Police say two of the men arrested are alleged to be involved in the aggravated robbery while two others were taken in after stolen items were allegedly found in their possession.

The fifth suspect a woman was arrested as she was also found with items believed to have been stolen.

The taskforce team is pursuing other suspects.
