The Ministry of Fisheries is in need of more tuna for PAFCO and other industries in the country.

This has been revealed by Minister Semi Koroilavesau, who says a lot needs to be done in his Ministry.

“We are running low on tuna, because of seasonal changes. We need to secure more tuna both for PAFCO and other value added industries that have in Fiji.”

Koroilavesau says other areas they are working on is the production of prawns and the farming of fin fish.

He says they will continue to build on the relationships with various local stakeholders as well as international partnership.
