The civil works at the RFMF BlackRock camp in Nadi have been completed says Minister for Defence Inia Seruiratu.

Seruiratu says the re-development work of the site is also on track and they hope all works will be completed by next year.

He adds the second phase of works will begin soon which is the vertical construction.

“We will have a different infrastructure set up from December next year and we have big plans about that and it’s about running peace operation trainings here for our people and region. Likewise the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief training.”

The project is estimated at around $40 million with the assistance of the Australian Government.
