First ever Physical training course conducted in Fiji

More than twenty military and police officers from around the Pacific are currently undergoing a Physical training course in Fiji.

This is the first ever physical training course to be done in the Pacific involving various law enforcement agencies.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, New Zealand High Commissioner Jonathan Curr says the program is aimed at creating a fitter and healthier Pacific forces.

“The PPTIC is a chance for you to engage with your fellow course-mates and instructors, to sweat, to laugh, to experience the pain and of course enjoy the gain. It also is a chance to enjoy the hospitality of your Fijian hosts.”

Officers will go through four weeks of intensive training that is designed to equip them with the best practices and the best techniques to fulfil their duties.

Countries that took part in the training include Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga.
