A new and first ever coffee shop is now open in Ba Town.

Mailife Café owner Nazia Ali says the café will be something different for people living in Ba.

“It was natural for me to start something in my hometown only because I am comfortable with the area and I know people and for me I don’t come from a food and beverage area so it’s a new thing for me so it’s good to be back in Ba where I can rely on my people.”

Nazia who is also a freelance journalist and entrepreneur says that despite Ba being infamously known for flooding, she wanted to give back to her hometown.

“You know just before setting up we went through three floods and a lot of people told me that you are crazy why do you want to set up a coffee shop where you it will cost a lot in the long term and I said why I don’t turn it around and avoid more damage by planning smartly.”

The café serves a wide range of sandwich, cakes, hot and cold drinks.

Nazia has invested around $50,000 to setup Mailife Café creating employment opportunities for four Ba residents.
