A cafeteria at Kings Wharf in Suva has been partially destroyed by a fire

A cafeteria at Kings Wharf in Suva has been partially destroyed by a fire this morning.

FBC News understands the cafeteria was closed at the time of the incident.

Chief Fire Officer Qionilau Moceitai, says it took the officers two minutes to reach the scene after the call was received.

“Firefighters were able to contain the fire within the fire origin and extinguished the fire preventing it from spreading to other shops in the shed.”

It is unclear what caused the fire and the cost of damage at this stage.
