A house fire in Nadi this morning has left eight people homeless.

According to a witness, the fire started around 10am at the Civil Aviation of Fiji compound.

The witness also confirms that the family who were inside the house when the fire broke out, managed to escape unharmed.

Firefighters managed to stop the fire from spreading to other nearby houses.

An investigation is underway to ascertain to the cause of the fire.
