Fire safety business inspections begin tomorrow

In an effort to ensure commercial, industrial and public premises in towns and cities comply with safety standards, the National Fire Authority will start building inspections from tomorrow.

NFA will also be conducting vessel inspection to ensure safety compliance.

The National Fire Authority say they are also trying to establish a reasonable level of life safety and property protection from the hazards created by fire.

NFA’s fire safety building inspections in municipalities is conducted every year during this time to check the fire safety compliances of all businesses under the requirements of the national Building Code of Fiji and Safety at Work Act regulations.
