A mid morning fire in Tavakubu, Lautoka has badly damaged a warehouse.

National Fire Authority CEO John O’Connor says the authority arrived on the scene minutes after the 911 call with the building fully engulfed.

With a paint factory next door, firemen concentrated on keeping the fire from spreading – which O’Connor says has been successful.

He says fire fighters are still on the scene working to put out the fire completely.

No fatalities or injuries have been recorded.
