Attorney General and Finance Minster, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has offered technical assistance to enable the Marshall Islands to examine potential avenues to gain more access to the Fijian market.

Sayed-Khaiyum met the visiting Minister of Finance of the Republic of Marshall Islands, Jack Ading in Suva yesterday.

They discussed a number of areas of cooperation including trade between Fiji and the Marshall Islands.

In addition, Ading also expressed an interest in elements of the taxation system in Fiji and the AG also offered assistance on this should the need arise.

The two ministers agreed to maintain close contact to build on their discussions and develop fresh avenues of cooperation.
