Film Fiji entices Bollywood producers

A delegation led by Film Fiji has just concluded participation at Locations, a two-day exhibition conference in Mumbai, India which connects international movie destinations to producers from Bollywood, India’s premier movie industry.

Delegation Leader and Chairperson of Film Fiji, Shaenaz Voss said the Fiji booth attracted a large number of potential Bollywood movie producers and production houses.

Voss says they have been participating at Locations for six years now and the fact that Fiji’s film rebate and incentive rates are the best in the world is eliciting huge interest.

Voss adds that with a good delegation representing key Fiji stakeholder organizations, the team has been able to convince more and more production houses to seriously consider using Fiji as a location in their upcoming projects.”

The delegation consisted of Film Fiji, licensed Fiji Audio Visual Agents, Tourism Fiji, Fiji Airways and the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa. Fiji’s High Commissioner to India, His Excellency Mr. Yogesh Karan also attended the second day of the exhibition.
