Fiji’s tourist industry is further boosted with an increasing number of cruise liners berthing at our two main Ports.

The unique culture and colonial buildings in Suva and Lautoka are attracting new shipping companies to add Fiji to their world tour list.

The ship began its 119 day journey in January from Italy with 2, 300 guests and Suva was its 29th stop.

Fiji Ports Corporation Acting Chief Executive Roshan Abeyesundere, says these visits are healthy for the nation.

“Visitors coming to this nation means a lot to this nation because you are indirectly playing a part in the development process. So we are very grateful and we are very thankful that you included the Port of Suva and Lautoka into your voyage.”

Ship’s Owner Representative, Tim Skinner says before 2026 the company will have 29 ships and they are looking for new areas to position them.

“Now with the fleet growing because we will have so many ships the Pacific is a priority. So I am sure you will see us at the same time next year. I am pretty sure that’s all locked in now. But the Pacific – Fiji and the surrounding islands must be part of the future development.”

The Ship will in Lautoka today before traveling NZ.
