November 7, 2018 6:25 pm

“You know what we are capable of delivering and that’s evident in the past few years.”

This was the comment made by the FijiFirst General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum while responding to a question during a campaign in Nawamagi village in Sigatoka last night.

Villager, Semisi Qaranivalu asked the party members what benefits they would receive if the party is again elected and will it differ from now.

Qaranivalu also asked what would happen if they lose the General Elections.

Responding to the question, Sayed-Khaiyum says if they form Government, the Party will pick up from where it has left off but if they lose, Sayed-Khaiyum claims it will be an economic catastrophe.

“If we lose God forbid that ever happening but the only two parties they can form government is SODELPA and NFP but that will be economic chaos as there will be job losses and our dollar will be devalued and ordinary Fijians will suffer but if we win, we’ll continue with what we are doing.”

The question about Kadavu being taken by China was again asked by the villagers of Nawamagi.

They also questioned the reason why Fiji only loans from the Chinese.

Sayed-Khaiyum states that China cannot take Kadavu and that Fiji usually loans from China because countries like Australia, New Zealand and the US do not give loans, however they give grants.
