The FijiFirst party is pleased with the draw of the candidates numbers carried out by the Elections Office.

Party General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was at the draw in Suva yesterday.

“We are keen to get those numbers out to the electorate. And I am sure all the individual candidates of FijiFirst will want to be going out and promoting their individual numbers."

Sayed-Khaiyum says he doesn’t think an impasse between the Electoral Commission and the Supervisor of Elections will compromise the election process.

“As FijiFirst is concerned everything has been done according to the (Electoral) Decree. As you know that the electoral process is very specific in terms of time frames. If you look throughout the world there is never any room for an anomaly regarding timeframes."

FijiFirst has fielded 50 candidates for the election.
