The FijiFirst has formed the government and they will remain in power over the next four years and nothing can change this.

Assistant Minister for Employment, Youth and Sports, Alvick Maharaj says a lot has been said about FijiFirst not getting the same number of votes from the last election, but nothing has changed.

Maharaj says majority of the people voted for FijiFirst and they will do their best to serve every Fijian.

“A lot was said about vote increase and decrease of seats but the fact is we are still the government. FijiFirst still runs the government and the truth is, they are sitting in the opposition. This is a fact and it will not change therefore NFP, your change will not come anytime soon.”

Maharaj says FijiFirst has been a party of action, not words and believes in youth and women empowerment as well.

He says politics in Fiji should not be about seats in parliament but rather serving the people of Fiji.
