Fijians are being urged to practice water conservation due to the climatic changes resulting in the dry spells experienced around the country.

He says with the rural water carting schedule being released, affected rural communities are to follow the schedule to track their areas delivery times and make available empty vessels for refilling.

Upon receiving water, customers are to sign off a register which will be given by the WAF water carting tallyman.

WAF General Manager Customer Services, Sekove Uluinayau says those that are facing issues with their water supply in the rural areas can contact them on toll-free number 1507.

The Authority is advising all metered customers to also store sufficient water for drinking and cooking purpose as there are planned and unplanned water shutdowns due to the aged infrastructure.
