After the bilateral meeting Morrison announced that Fijians can now take twice the amount of kava while travelling to Australia, from two kilograms to four kilograms.

Morrison said they spoke on a number of things and discussions started when he first went to Vanuatu adding that the personal allowance for kava they are doubling is just a demonstration of our developing relations.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said this announcement will be welcomed by all Fijians as they had been looking forward to that.

The two leaders discussed a range of issues, such as the sustainability of fish stock throughout the Pacific and other multilateral agreements that will be deliberated on further.
