President His Excellency Major General Retired Jioji Konrote says Fiji and all Fijians have various reasons to celebrate Diwali today.
In his Diwali message to the nation, President Konrote says Fiji is going through major and positive transformations in our national life.
The President says Fiji is also experiencing significant socio-economic and political changes that are helping redefine what democracy is about.
His Excellency also highlighted on Fiji leadership, saying it is focused on elevating the standard of living for every single Fijian, irrespective of one’s social status, ethnic, religious or cultural background or even locality.
The President says whether we live in the urban or rural and remote areas, the national goal is to ensure that everyone has equal access to the basic necessities of life.
