Fijians continue to make big impacts in the region as well as in the international arena.

Fiji’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Robin Nair says Fijians are doing extremely well in the UAE both in promoting Fiji as well as establishing good careers for themselves.

Nair says one such area is the airline industry.

‘’25-30 flight crew members and on top of that we’ve got 25 Fijian pilots flying United Arab Emirates airline and all of them are captains, captains of 777’s and one of them is a captain on is 8380’s the largest aircraft that flies in this world so they’re doing well and they’ve got a good name’’.

The recent recruitment of cabin crew by Qatar Airways and the United Arab Emirates Airlines could see more Fijians move to the UAE.
