Fijians have been urged to support the National Poppy Appeal.

Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Jone Usamate says the Poppy Appeal reassures our continued recognition of the priceless sacrifice made by the sons and daughters of Fiji who served in the Fijian Armed Forces during the first and second world wars, the Malayan Campaign and peacekeeping missions around the world.

Usamate is urging all Fijians to buy a poppy and wear it proudly every day until the 11th of November.

The public can access these poppy flowers at various organisations in the private and public sector and donate to the appeal.
