Fijians have been warned to be fully aware of the drastic impacts of the prolonged dry spell on the country.
And the Water Authority of Fiji today launched a campaign to focus on the value of water and encourage Fijian households to save water.
WAF’s chief executive Opetaia Ravai says the campaign will feature two major mechanisms: tips on saving water and a roadshow that will visit 10 population centers over the next month and a half.
‘’Minimize wastage, we need to do our bit to encourage others who are wasting water to stop so at the end of the day the water resources up in the hills will or the water storage will be prolonged so the time to act is now. Every drop is precious’’.
The water saving campaign that begins on Monday will run for two months.
