Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has lashed out at the Opposition for their constant ignorance towards the actions of the past.
Speaking in parliament, Sayed-Khaiyum says as MP’s the onus is upon them to call things as they are and not be hypocritical.
In talking about past events in which Opposition members failed to highlight in parliament, Sayed-Khaiyum says Fijians deserve to know the truth.
“You know all these stuffs about the 1987 coup, 200 coup, about MP’s not being paid, madam speaker why didn’t they put it out there in their manifesto, why didn’t they bring this up before.”
The Attorney General has stated if history is to be talked about and discussed in parliament, parliamentarians should speak the truth and without any hesitation.
