Fijian woman dies in Samoa

A Fijian national Sainimere Marama Vesikula is believed to have passed away in Samoa three days after taking Lymphatic Filariasis tablets.

TV One Samoa is reporting they were informed by Vesikula’s close friends that she became seriously ill and began coughing up blood.

She was taken to Motootua hospital where she died on Sunday.

TV One Samoa has made several requests to Samoa National Health Services & the Ministry of Health’s CEO Dr Take Naseri who has declined to comment.
