Fijian troops in Golan return today

One hundred forty- seven Fijian soldiers serving in the Golan Heights for the past year are expected to arrive back into the country this afternoon.

The men and women are now on a chartered flight to Fiji and are expected at the Nadi International Airport at 3pm.

RFMF Chief Operations Officer Lt. Col Amani Suliano will greet the troops at the airport.

Videos posted on Facebook show the convoy of trucks carrying the Fijian soldiers leaving the UNDOF base in Syria with shouts of good bye from their comrades who will fly out later.
