The official announcement of Fiji hosting the 2020 Annual World Exchange Congress will be revealed on the global stage next week.

The 14th Annual World Exchange Congress will commence on Monday in Lebanon, where the announcement will be made.

South Pacific Stock Exchange, Business Development Manager, Pretesh Prasad says this will be a great opportunity for Fiji.

“We are excited about this opportunity because this event is going to put Fiji on the world map and there are numerous benefits that are going to emanate from this. The exciting thing about the 14th Congress is that Fiji is going to officially be named as the World Exchange host for the year 2020.”

Prasad says a team from Fiji will be attending the Congress next week.

This comprises of SPSE management and board, senior representatives of the existing listed companies, other stakeholders and the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
