August 8, 2015 9:00 pm

A Fijian national is expected to appear in court soon for his alleged involvement in a $100m drug bust.

The drugs were seized at the Suva Wharf yesterday afternoon.

Chief of Investigation and Intelligence ACP Henry Brown says parcels containing amphetamine weighing close to 80 kilograms were found inside a shipping container.

ACP Brown says a joint operation between the Fiji Police Force, New Zealand Customs, Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority and the Australian Federal Police made the discovery possible.

He says Fiji Police continues to value the partnership it has developed over the years with its local and foreign law enforcement agencies.
