A man was also found at the property.

He was granted interim name suppression by Judge Heather Simpson to give him time to break the news to family members.

The accused man, who has been in hospital for the past three days and who had extensive bandages on both arms, was remanded in custody without plea and will reappear in the High Court in Auckland later this month.
