Fijian Holdings Tower to be eco-friendly

More than one hundred and fifty new jobs will be created upon the completion of the Fijian Holdings Tower on Gordon Street in Suva.

Fijian Holdings Limited Chief Executive, Nouzab Fareed says construction work on the seventeen-storey tower has started.

The tower which is expected to be completed in two years’ will house 13,000 square feet of commercial office space.

Fareed says the building will be one of a kind and it’s something people can look forward to.

“It’s a green building. It is because Fiji held cop 23 so that is the time we basically planned this so that is why we are making all the attempt to make it a green building which means our energy is very efficient, no emission at all, waste water will be treated, we planning to harvest rain water so overall it will become eco-friendly.”

Fareed says they hope to stay within their budget of $65million with the construction of the tower.
